The airport is a popular diversion airport for flights to the New York metropolitan area. The shortest schedule jet flight in the contiguous US operates between ABE and PHL. Piedmont Airlines (American Eagle) regularly operates an ERJ-145 on the 55-mile route. Average time in the air is 20 minutes.
